How we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit our site or work with us on your immigration case.

R-Way Immigration Services Inc. ("R-Way," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of the personal information you share with us. This Policy explains how we handle your information when you visit www.r-wayimmigration.ca or use our immigration consulting services. As a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant authorized by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC), we are also bound by professional confidentiality obligations in addition to Canadian privacy law. By using our site or services, you consent to the practices described below.

Information We Collect

Provided Directly

  • Name, mailing address, email, and phone number
  • Immigration case details — status, country of origin, family information
  • Identification documents (passport, PR card, study/work permits)
  • Educational, employment, and financial records relevant to your application
  • Appointment, contact form, and payment information

Collected Automatically

IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, and cookies (see Section 5).

From Third Parties

Information shared by family members, sponsors, or employers connected to your application, and information from public sources such as IRCC or the CICC.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Assess eligibility and provide consultation on your case
  • Prepare and submit immigration applications on your behalf
  • Communicate about your case, appointments, and our services
  • Process payments for professional fees
  • Meet legal and professional obligations to CICC and IRCC
  • Send updates or marketing, only where you've consented

Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share it with:

  • Government authorities — IRCC, IRB, CBSA, or provincial nominee programs
  • Service providers who support our operations under confidentiality obligations
  • The CICC, where required for compliance or audit
  • Legal authorities, where required by law or court order
  • Other parties, only with your explicit consent

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and to meet legal, regulatory, and professional record-keeping obligations under the CICC Code of Professional Conduct. When no longer required, it is securely destroyed or anonymized.

Our site may use cookies to enable core functionality, analyze traffic, and improve user experience. You can control or disable cookies in your browser settings; doing so may affect some site features.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, consistent with our confidentiality obligations as a licensed consultancy. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

We serve clients globally. If you are located outside Canada, your information will be transferred to and processed in Canada, where our operations are based, and may be subject to Canadian law, including lawful access by Canadian authorities.

Under PIPEDA and applicable privacy laws, you may:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual limits
  • Ask how your data has been used or disclosed
  • File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

Children's Privacy

Our site and services are not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors without a parent or guardian's consent, except where necessary for a family-based immigration application.
